Enzyme Therapy is the foundation of DMK Skin Revision and one of the most advanced ways to restore your skin to its natural state of health. Unlike superficial facials, this therapy works deep within the skin to stimulate true function, remove cellular waste, and rebuild optimal structure.
How It Works
Enzyme Therapy restores homeostasis (balance) in the skin by triggering a process called biotransformation. During this process, harmful substances such as free radicals, malformed proteins, inflammatory cell buildup, and even premalignant cells are broken down into forms that are less active and more water-soluble. Once neutralized, these substances can be easily flushed from the skin’s biological environment.
This is achieved through a cascade of enzyme activity inside the viable epidermis, where oxygen consumption and hydrolytic reactions are highest. In fact, Enzyme Therapy oxygenates the skin at a cellular level, improving circulation and nutrient delivery while detoxifying the tissue.
Though the full service duration is between 1.5-2 hours, the heart of the treatment unfolds over 45 minutes, moving through 3 distinct phases in 15-minute increments:
1. Functionalization Phase - oxidative, reductive, and hydrolytic reactions “unmask” or activate radical groups.
2. Conjugation Phase - endogenous molecules such as glucuronic acid or sulfate neutralize damaging free radicals.
3. Excretion Phase - inactivated substances are transported out, leaving the skin clear of waste.
What You’ll Experience
During treatment, the Enzyme Masque progressively tightens and may cause pulsing sensations. This is the famous “plasmatic effect”, where increased oxygenated blood flow visibly flushes through the skin. It’s a sign of true circulation and lymphatic drainage at work - something topical creams or surface-level facials simply cannot achieve.
Benefits
Detoxifies the skin by removing impurities and waste
Increases circulation and oxygenation at the cellular level
Strengthens the structural integrity of the epidermis
Supports collagen formation and skin firmness
Balances oil, hydration, and pH for long-term homeostasis
Why It Matters
Think of Enzyme Therapy as a workout for your skin. Just like the body needs oxygen and circulation for optimal performance, your skin thrives when its cells are trained to function properly. Rather than masking symptoms, this therapy teaches the skin how to behave like healthy skin again.
